Dolmabahce Palace
The Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul was rebuild by Sultan Abdulmecid in the
mid 19th century. The palace is a symbol of the Ottoman Empires magnificence
and decadence. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic,
died in his bedroom here in 1938.
